Just in time for the holidays, Fortnite has a new unlockable cosmetic category: wraps. Season 7 introduced the customization option, letting players add some personal flair to their in-game weapons and vehicles.
Wraps aren’t too complicated to earn and apply, but can be a little difficult to understand if you’re new to Fortnite or have never played a shooter with gun skins before. If you’re interested in learning how wraps work, and what you need to do to grab them, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered!

What Are Fortnite Wraps?
Wraps are special, unlockable cosmetics available through either the Item Shop or the Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass. They provide a unique skin texture to a player’s vehicle or weapon, letting them further personalize the gear’s appearance on the battlefield. There are seven wraps in total so far — six of which unlock by leveling up tiers in the Season 7 Battle Pass.
Wraps are equipped through the main menu. That means players must add their wrap to their preferred item before hopping into a match. Afterward, equipped wraps are immediately added as soon as the player acquires a gun or vehicle. For example, if a player stumbles across an Epic Assault Rifle in the game, the weapon will sport its default skin until the player equips the gun. This is true for vehicles as well — meaning a Quadcrasher will only change to the player’s wrap once they enter the vehicle.
Fortnite supports wraps for Assault Rifles, Shotguns, SMGs, Sniper Rifles, and Pistols. Vehicles have their own general category, too.
How to Obtain All Fortnite Wraps
Most wraps are obtained by leveling up the Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass. One Christmas-themed wrap, the Candy Cane design, can be purchased from the Item Shop for 300 V-Bucks when available. Here’s each wrap and how to obtain it!
- Arctic Camo – Reach Tier 5 in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 Battle Pass.
- Candy Cane – Available on the Item Shop for 300 V-Bucks.
- Carbon & Gold – Reach Tier 74 in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Battle Pass.
- Durrr Burger – Reach Tier 43 in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 Battle Pass.
- Festive Paper – Reach Tier 11 in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 Battle Pass.
- Indigo Ice – Reach Tier 60 in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 Battle Pass.
- Ultra Red – Reach Tier 26 in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 Battle Pass.
While Fortnite only sports seven wraps for now, it seems likely more will be added in the future as both Battle Pass rewards and Item Shop choices.
How to Equip Fortnite Wraps
Adding wraps onto Fortnite’s items is incredibly easy. Like Outfits and Back Bling, wraps are applied through the Locker.
After unlocking a wrap, head over to the main menu and enter the Locker. From there, look for the row of six items underneath the emote section. This is where you can apply unlocked wraps.
Choose the section you’d like to apply a wrap to and pick your preferred skin. The game will give you a 3D preview of what the wrap will look like on a vehicle or weapon during play.
If you’re satisfied with your choice, go ahead and click the “Save and Exit” button. That’s it! Your wrap will be applied automatically after picking up a weapon or entering a vehicle in-game.
Granted, you may want to be careful with which wraps you choose. Particularly for vehicles, wraps may increase your visibility to enemy players in certain regions — making your X-4 Stormwing or Quadcrasher stand out from a distance. Otherwise, wraps are a great way to prove to the world that you have the skill to earn that coveted Victory Royale. Show them off!
