The Fortnite Grapple Glove is a brand new item introduced in Chapter 3 Season 3. Taking advantage of the new biomes across the battle royale map, you can now grapple up and away in a slightly different fashion than what Spidey’s Web-Slingers offered. The new season presents massive changes on the battle royale map, returning mechanics, and some interesting additions, from weapons to quests to follow on a weekly basis. This guide explains where to find Grapple Glove locations in Fortnite and how they work.
If you’re looking for more help, we have guides covering new and returning weapons, how to plant Reality Saplings, all Battle Pass skins including Darth Vader, weekly quests, how to ride animals, all current bugs and known issues, how to cure Storm Sickness, and all Tover Tokens to complete Snap Quests.
Fortnite Grapple Glove Locations – Where to Find Grapple Gloves
Added into the game on June 14, the Grapple Glove can be found inside Grapple Glove Toolboxes, which are scattered around 10 locations around the battle royale map.
You can find the Fortnite Grapple Glove in the following spots:
- Northwest of Logjam Lumberyard
- In the Rave Cave
- East of Shifty Shafts/Southwest of Sleepy Sound
- Northeast of The Daily Bugle
- Northeast of Tilted Towers
- In between the islands in the bottom right islands on the east side of the map
- Southwest of Greasy Grove
- North of Rocky Reels
- South of the Joneses/Northeast of Condo Canyon
- Northeast of Synapse Station
That’s the gist of it! Thankfully, the spots are fairly easy to recognize, as they have a bright pink around them and some catchy music once you’re around.
At the moment, you can usually find three Grapple Gloves in each location, which means there’ll only be 30 Grappling Gloves in circulation during each match.
Upon your arrival, all you need to do is located one of the three toolboxes and open it before somebody else. Then, just pick the item up and you’ll be all set to grapple away.
To use the Grapple Glove, here are some tips:
- To get started, you just need to aim and shoot at any hard surface, which could be anything from a cliff to a building or a tree. Then, you can accumulate up to three swings, gaining speed with each one. If you successfully do three swings, you’ll be at max speed from that moment on.
- If you miss a shot and land on the ground, there’s a short window of time where you can shoot the hook again and continue swinging.
- That window of time is increased if you slide out of a swing.
- If the timer runs out, you’ll have to wait for a cooldown.
- You can stay hooked on an object for a long time just swinging around it.
- And yes, you can also use the Grapple Glove to pull items towards you, but keep in mind that you don’t have unlimited charges!
That’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite Grapple Glove locations. Hope you have fun with the new item!
