Looking Back at the Golden Age of Game Magazines

Video producer Marco took me way the hell back to the mid-90s, when magazines were the best source for news, reviews, and in-depth coverage of video games. I’m sorry, what? What’s a magazine? What are you, Bangalore? Listen, I’m 33 years old and I’m proud that I had to consume games content 30 days at a time. You don’t know how good you have it.

And another thing, what’s the deal with smart phones? They’re barely phones and they’re not that smart if you ask me.

Hey I got an email the other day with the subject line “*****URGENT***** OPEN FOR FREE PHONE BOOK” and now my computer only shows up on a third of my screen. Did I get a virus?

Ahem. I think I’m going to watch Marco’s video again because it’s great and then I’m going to keep thinking about his observation that GamePro used emojis to review games in 1995.
