Pro Wrestling Schedule for the Week of September 30, 2019

We are heading into an enormous week of wrestling. A thick, massive week, stuffed to the brim with wrestling. It’s the Chungus of non-Wrestlemania wrestling weeks. It also might be kind of the norm going forward? So we at Fanbyte are introducing a new thing, a weekly wrestling schedule. Grab your planners and a pencil (or your scheduling app of choice) and keep reading.

Monday 9/30

WWE Monday Night Raw Season Premiere on USA @ 8PM Eastern

Tonight on USA, WWE’s flagship weekly show premieres with a new commentary lineup and lots of special guests. With Seth Rollins vs Rey Mysterio for the Universal Championship and Sasha Banks vs Alexa Bliss on the card, there looks like plenty of exciting stuff to distract you from the fact that Hulk Hogan will also be there.

Game Changer Wrestling

GCW Curtain Call on FITE.TV @ 8PM Eastern

Game Changer Wrestling’s final show with their poster boy Joey Janela (who is headed off to be a full time All Elite Wrestling guy) is tonight at the same time as Raw. In addition to Janela’s final indy match (for now) against Jimmy Lloyd, Jake Atlas and Jungle Boy should also be pretty special. $9.99 on iPPV.

Tuesday 10/1

CMLL Martes de Nuevos Valores on @ 8:30 PM Eastern

Listen, I’m not totally sure how to stream CMLL shows. Sometimes they’re on, sometimes they’re on Facebook watch, and Tuesday shows generally at least end up on YouTube. Here’s what I do know: there is a show on Tuesday at Arena México. It will end up online for you to watch at some point on Tuesday night.

Total Divas Season 9 Premiere on E! @ 10 PM

Nikki, Brie, Natty, Trinity and the gang are back for another season of Total Divas. The big news is that Ronda Rousey has joined the cast. Sonya Deville (who was great in her prior guest appearances) is also a new regular cast member. I’m really sad to see the departure of Lana and Paige, two reliably wacky characters who always brought tons of conflict. (Plus this means no Rusev! How am I supposed to live without Rusev?) Carmella is back on the cast, and hopefully she’ll get a better arc than she did in season 7 when she was dating Big Cass. I don’t see Ronda Rousey or Sonya Deville being able to play erratic basket cases, so maybe Carmella will step up?

Wednesday 10/2

All Elite WrestlingAEW Dynamite Series Premiere on TNT @ 8 PM Eastern

Check out our Full Card Preview for AEW Dynamite episode one.

The very buzzed about All Elite Wrestling makes its long awaited television debut on Wednesday with matches on the card like: PAC facing off with Hangman Adam Page, AEW Champion Chris Jericho bringing two mystery partners to wrestle Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, Cody versus Sammy Guevara, and lastly Nyla Rose against Riho to become the inaugural AEW Women’s Champion.

WWE NXT on USA @ 8 PM Eastern

Not to be outdone, WWE has moved its own indy-themed corporate wrestling brand to basic cable television. The first televised two hours of live NXT has a stacked card: Candice LeRae challenging Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship, Matt Riddle challenging Adam Cole for the NXT Championship, and the Street Profits challenging Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly of the Undisputed Era for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

WWE Watch Along on YouTube @ 8 PM Eastern

If a new 2 hour TV show on USA isn’t enough for you, WWE is also doing one of their Watch Along YouTube shows (which I actually quite enjoy.) Former NXT talent like Apollo Crews and Ricochet will be joined by current NXT talent like Bianca Belair and Jordan Myles, NXT UK’s Kassius Ohno, and, most excitingly, according to, Malcolm Bivens.

Thursday 10/3

Beyond Wrestling

Beyond Wrestling Uncharted Territory Season 2 Premiere on IndependentWrestling.TV @ 8 PM Eastern

There’s a lot of big money companies playing at being indy promotions in this chungus of wrestling schedules, but only one weekly wrestling show actually being done by an indy promotion. Beyond’s fantastic Uncharted Territory is back this week with a card that looks pretty killer: Lance Archer vs Josh Briggs, Orange Cassidy vs Thomas Santell, Wheeler YUTA vs Chris Dickinson, and Kris Statlander versus Nick Gage. A membership to IndependentWrestling.TV is only $10/month, and you can get your first month free using the promo code: THURSDAY

Update: as of 10/1, Mick Moretti has been added to Uncharted Territory in an as yet unknown capacity.

Friday 10/4

Chikara King of Trios 2019 Night 1 on IndependentWrestling.TV @ 7:30 PM Eastern

Chikara’s big trios tournament is back again, and what a week they chose for it! Night One has some cool looking matches with some cool looking teams, but all eyes are probably on Team Nerder Death Kris (Nick Gage with Beyond regulars Thomas Santell and Kris Stadtlander) going up against Team PUMP (Scott Steiner himself with old compatriot Petey Williams and spiritual daughter Jordynne Grace.)

CMLL Viernes Espectacular on @ 7:30 PM Eastern

You know how WWE likes to lie and say Monday Night Raw is the longest running episodic weekly television show? Well, CMLL has been running shows every Friday since 1933, so suck on that, McMahons. This week’s show has the first round of 2019’s Torneo de la Gran Alternativa, a tag team tournament where each team consists of one veteran and one new talent.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown Season Premiere on Fox @ 8 PM Eastern

SmackDown Live debuts on a new network on Friday, with a scheduled main event of Brock Lesnar challenging Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. The Rock is going to be there. Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon are having a ladder match. For first show on a new network, WWE is going to need to pull out all the stops, and it sounds like they are.

WWE 205 Live on the WWE Network @ 10 PM Eastern

205 Live and WWE’s short kings division make their way to Friday nights this week, still, unfortunately, keeping their old spot after SmackDown. What can you do?

Saturday 10/5

Chikara King of Trios 2019 Night 2 on IndependentWrestling.TV @ 7:30 PM Eastern

Tournament action continues on Night 2, as well as the Rey de Voladores tournament, and a special non-tournament match between 2019 Young Lions Cup winner Still Life with Apricots and Pears and Blank.

Sunday 10/6

Chikara King of Trios 2019 Night 3 on IndependentWrestling.TV @ 3 PM Eastern

Who will be crowned the King of Trios in 2019? What fish people will show up? The final night of Chikara’s big trios tournament will have all the answers.

WWE Hell in a Cell on the WWE Network @ 7 PM Eastern

It’s hell and it’s in a cell. Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks, Seth Rollins vs the Fiend, all in a big red cage. Keep an eye out for a full card preview from us later this week.

Schedule will be updated as changes occur throughout the week.
